FOUNDER / DR MICHELE SAGAN
A career across business. A purpose rooted in better work.
Dr Michele Sagan founded Optimal Insight to help people and organisations create meaningful work and a better future. Her passion for the future of work is deeply personal: she believes technology should expand human possibility, while leaders build organisations where people can thrive.
She brings more than 25 years of leadership and management experience across the UK and Malaysia. Her career began at UBS Warburg, HSBC and CIMB, followed by senior work at PwC Southeast Asia, the Asia School of Business in collaboration with MIT Sloan, and ICLIF. Her client experience includes Prudential Malaysia, AirAsia, CIMB, Petronas, BASF, CEVA and Indian Railways.
After working across finance, leadership, human capital and education, Michele pursued a PhD in the Future of Work at the University of Nottingham to investigate the questions that matter most to her: how we make work more purposeful, develop future skills and create a sustainable relationship between people and technology. She also holds a BSc and MSc from the London School of Economics and is a certified executive coach, psychotherapist and EQ practitioner. Her book Future Shaping brings that research together with practical choices for leaders.
